VD = venereal disease

today i saw a twitter post that said, “Happy VD, Everyone!”

While I know that kell meant well, my first reaction was that I and everyone else should have a happy venereal disease!

let me tell you kids, venereal diseases are not a laughing matter! i know this from med school…not from personal experience. in fact, i can produce a clean bill of health at a moments notice….now that would be a fun blog post.

the thing i love about putting iTunes on ‘party shuffle’ mode is that one minute it’s playing some aerosmith bullshit and the next minute…BAM…james taylor. one minute i’m cursing it and the next minute it goes and totally redeems itself!

perhaps this is less a problem w/ iTunes and more a function of having lame music in one’s iTunes’ library.

shelley

i’ve always been very curious about the name “shelley” because it strikes me as more of an adjective than a name.

i.e. i would have walked on the beach, but it was too shelley.

i.i.e. our relationship ran into problems because my ex-girlfriend was too shelley w/ her feelings.

weird stuff, i know!

all empirical data would indicate that buster is growing at the rate of nearly 1lbs per day.

if you have yet to come and visit buster, you should consider doing so very quickly because someday very soon i’m going to wake up and he’s going to be wanting to move-out and start a life of his own.

i’d like to say thank you to prince for rocking the half-time show of the super bowl.

i’ve never been a huge prince fan, but have always appreciated his guitar virtuoso. tonight he played the half-time show and i’ll be damned if it wasnt the best part of super-sunday. take away the lighting, special effects and crazy go-go dancers and you were left w/ one of the world’s finest guitarists/musicians.

hope you enjoyed it too…

superbowl xli prediction

so last year didn’t go very well for ‘hawks fans—myself included.

but this year the bears are playing the colts and i could care less who wins and perhaps this will allow for a more accurate prediction.

“peyton manning has the game he has been bred to have his entire life; throwing for 260+ yards he leads the colts to a 24-17 win breaking the collective heart of the windy city. grossman has a decent game but cant find the endzone frequently enough to bring home the lombardi trophy against an upsurgent colts defense. manning is your superbowl mvp and the colts finally win the big one.”

buster, on the other hand, has the bears winning in a peyton manning colapse. he says the bears defense holds manning to a lousy 130yards passing and that rex grossman comes into the game with no pressure and plays accordingly. this, hower, is non-sense becuase buster is just a dog.
