after some discussion and thought, i’ve decided that ONE of the sexiest smells in the known world is that of a sexy-cool girl who wears the following fragrance:
ocean-infused salt-water-gaminess + a hint of coconut tanning lotion + girl-sweat + a hint of bourbon.
i’m powerless to the woman who can master this scent on any given day at the beach.

last week i went to a seminar at school that sounded interesting and i got stuck sitting between the two most annoying girls on campus:
girl on the left was crazy-eyeball-chick from way back when and gal on the right seemed nice enough, but she was listening to her ipod during the talk and FRANTICALLY pounding out a text message on her flip phone. i knew exactly when she made a mistake b/c she would sigh in frustration in her “i’m listening to my ipod and cant hear myself” voice. as a general rule, you should only use your “indoor voice” during a scientific talk.
i’ve been listening to the new REM record and it’s pretty damn good. maybe those guys just needed a few years off to shake off the disaster that was their previous album. afterall, this is the band that wrote “e-bow the letter” and single-handedly ushered in the emo genre.
tomorrow is almost here and i’ve got a lot of work to do b/c i’m taking a super-secret out-of-state trip on thursday…more on that when the mood’s right.

on thursday night, brandon and i went to see artie lange on his west coast weekend. we had a great time, despite a cabbie who complained the ENTIRE way to the casino. (apparently a $30 trip at 630pm on an idle thursday is something to bitch about.)
the room they had setup in the casino looked more suited for an insurance convention than a comedy venue; nonetheless, we had great seats and artie came on stage and threw down a solid hour-long set.
when the house lights came on, i rushed the stage rabid-fan-style and artie signed my ticket stub and even gave me a handshake b/c he could tell i was down.
oh and tomorrow is brandon’s birthday and that means that i’m going to spend the day celebrating. having a brother is the only way to roll. happy birthday, bdo!
p.s. brandon is the guy in the first pic and artie is in the 2nd…FYI
so they made us check our cameras at the casino on thursday. consequently, i’ve only got memories and shitty-low-light-iphone pictures of the event.

this weekend i had a chance to take the camera out for a drive and shoot a couple of shots of snow-capped mountains and ridiculously blue skies.
