stumbling around youtube will consume your life if you’re not careful…tonight i’m letting it.
here’s a great video featuring Billy Preston aka The Fifth Beatle (may he rest in peace) sitting in on the studio recording of “get back“.
billy preston sat in and contributed keyboard tracks for the White Album, Abbey Road and Let It Be; he was one of george harrison’s best friends and contributed so much of what we love about these records. if none of this beatles talk rings a bell, billy wrote/composed “you are so beautiful (to me)” which joe cocker made famous.
billy preston IS “the 5th beatle” and frankly, Ringo needs to watch his back b/c 4th place is up for grabs.

so recently, i heard ashton kutcher threaten to “ding-dong-ditch” ted turner’s house if he beat CNN to the million follower mark on twitter. Am i the only one who had never heard the phrase “ding-dong-ditch“? that sounds like a bunch of douche-baggery to me.
so as i write this, i’m copying more than 12-gigabytes worth of photos that my good friend josh shot of misty & i. also, every time i say the word “gigabyte” i feel like doc brown from ‘back to the future‘ telling marty mcfly that we’re going to need 1.21 GIGAWATTS of power—but i digress.
so how about that oprah learning how to twitter? wow. cutting edge stuff there, kids. here’s video of the twitter-segment where she calls ashton kutcher the “king of twitter”.
so do i think twitter has jumped the shark? yes. did it happen today on Oprah? no. twitter went flying over the great-whit when celebrities realized they could control their own press coverage via twitter AND twitter realized they could monopolize on those same celebrities by creating the “Twitter Recommends Following” list that every new user was met with seconds after creating an account.
if you’re just hearing about twitter, then signup for an account and join the fun, b/c we’re at the crest of the wave. don’t believe me? do you remember AOL, CompuServe or MSN? the walled-garden paradigm has never succeeded online and eventually concedes to open standards. the walled-garden killed IM and MySpace and if Twitter doesn’t evolve, it will meet the same fate.
so what should you do about it? well, frankly, you should follow me on twitter b/c going against our “king” or “queen” spells big fuck trouble.

so today people—who apparently have more money than time—protested all across the country against what they consider to be “extreme socialistic-type taxation” by the Obama administration.
even before i can right a word, you must know that there are so many things wrong with that thought that it makes my head hurt and all i want to do is pull my hair until i forget that these people even exist.
ok…
first of all, if you think that america is becoming “socialist” b/c of the slight tax increase on the wealthiest of americans, then i’m sorry, we just don’t even live in the same universe, more-less speak the same language and it would take technology light-years ahead of our own for us to even understand each other.
secondly, these bat-shit-crazy-heroes had to utilize at least a dozen different public services just to get to their respective protest. I’m talking about the roads they drove in on, the police who kept an eye on their craziness, the postal service they used to mail out their literature and the colleges they could have attended had they ever had any intellectual fuck curiousity.
hey! not so fast asshole, that stuff costs money. ya know how a government gets money? from people paying their fair-share-fuck-tax!
i’m going to pause mid-thought for a second to point out that these intellectual-giants drove to their protest with bumperstickers that read “support the troops“. so…the iraq war costs no less than 2,000 MILLION dollars per day. again, ya know how the military gets that money? from people paying their god-fuck-taxes!
finally, does it really surprise anyone that the first time these highly-convicted-citizens got off their lazyboy recliners and flipped off “Hanity” long enough to take a stand for anything it was to rally around the banner of taxes and the all mighty dollar?
i, for one, am glad that the conservative crowd has finally found a cause worth their time…afterall, time is money.

Early this evening, the Dave Matthews Band released the album artwork for their upcoming album, “Big Whiskey And The GrooGrux King”.
The art was drawn by Dave himself and pays homage to the late LeRoi Moore in what could be described as a New Orleans’ style-funeral celebration.
the only thing i love more than my blog and the people who visit my site are the visitor stats that my blog generates. now, i don’t want to embarrass anyone who takes the time to visit onelonelysuccess.com. Hell, if you played your cards right, i’d probably pay you to read this dribble.
however, while sitting through a mind-numbing lecture, i couldn’t help but notice that someone had discovered my site by googling the term “hot christian singles” which rates surprisingly high on google b/c of this post that i wrote about a hot girl with big boobs.
can you imagine a worse place for a kid to land when he’s looking for hot “christian” singles than my site?
the happy ending to this story is that he exited by clicking out on my link to Raymi’s site.
how rad is this story?
note to people trying to sell me things:
if you manage to make an infomercial this good for your product, i will most definitely purchase it. especially if it only costs $4.

so it’s the second week of April and I’m just finishing up with all the life from February. that being said, i think i’m just going to throw out the page of my desk calendar that reads “march“.
so I moved out of my redlands-flat and into a more “house-like” place a stone’s throw from school. moving was a son-of-a-bitch and doing so reminded me of why I lived where I did and paid what i paid in rent for the past 3.5 years. this may or may not be directly related to the fact that i’m 3.5years older and not exactly in world-class-shape.
so i’ve been living in the new place for almost a month and i absolutely love it. my total walk time from my front-door to campus is 4mins and that’s with all my heavy-breathing/sweating. lacking any empirical evidence, i would estimate a healthy person could make the trip in under 3mins. (but then they wouldn’t be living my rock-star-life now would they?)
thankfully, all my schwag has found it’s proper place and b/c you’ve been dying to see pictures, i thought i would do the gentlemanly thing and share:
