fortunately for me, i live in the future and youtube is replete with shaky-cam-style-video-coverage. as promised, the band played ‘sisters of the red death‘ in it’s entirety followed by an hour-long encore of favorites.

the seattle PI had an article regarding all the controversy surrounding the reunion show—specifically the absence of founding VR member Erik Chapman.

when asked about the lineup for the reunion show lead singer/frontman zach davidson said:

“The thing with Vendetta Red — it was, kinda like whoever I could get to play with me at the time,” he says. “Throughout the years, some people stuck around for longer than others, and I did it until it stopped being fun. And all I know is that it’s fun right now.”

notably for those of us from bakersfield, ca the absence of VR drummer, joseph childres. a quick google search reveals that we’ve lost joseph to christianity and the xtian music scene…fingers crossed we get him back soon.

apparently a couple of chicks were kissing it up and some under-sexed-soccer-mom got nervous that her kids would turn gay (or worse yet atheist!) if they saw two girls kissing.

mom-of-the-year proceeded to throw a big-fat-hetero-fit and had the all-vagina-couple reprimanded by the kid making minimum wage as an usher.

total nonsense.

frankly if i were god for a day, i would ONLY allow lesbians to kiss in public.

of course this wouldnt settle anything, but i would be god for a day and god can do whatever the fuck he wants!

also, you’re probably feeling shitty about missing the party b/c you had a final exam or an appointment with your gynecologist.

while stonebraker was chopping our lettuce he was also chopping off his fucking-thumb which is increasingly funny when you find out that he’s a surgeon. HA! workman’s comp FTW!

after dinner brooke and julie sat around and told each other stories and we all listened b/c they are girls and girls can do whatever they want at parties.

at some point the night turned to guitar hero b/c that’s what happens when adults get together and drink wine.

dude…we played guitar hero on a 120″ screen. let me tell you now…you havent played GH until you’ve rawked it on a 120″ of goodness. it will blow your fucking mind.

oh and this dude was brooke’s bfriend and even though i cant remember his name he was all about posing for pictures while he played GH so that earns him a spot on the blog…also bonus party points for intensity.

before the previous night’s drinking had even thought about wearing off, we headed out to market square to secure fresh seafood and produce. the party was a super-smash-sensation and we got silly while eating incredible food and playing guitar hero on a giant 120-fuck-inch screen. yeah! i know!
